  • Collectors were appointed during Warren Hastings
  • When Hastings resigned Clavering was to become his successor.He even took oath.
  • Cole brook and William Jones codified the Hindu Law
  • With the help of Colonel Sleeman Bentinck suppressed the Thuggis
